Port Lambton Gala Days ... August 3-5th!
Submitted By Kaylen Burgess on Sunday, July 22, 2018
It's almost Gala Days weekend and our little village is getting excited!
The Gala Days committee has been working hard to make this 50th anniversary our very best yet!

The weekend kicks off on Friday night with the men and women’s two pitch tournament and the adult dance from 8:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. with live entertainment by "The Down River Band".

Saturday morning two pitch starts at 9:00 a.m. and volleyball at 11:00 a.m. The annual Gala Days parade will begin at 11:00 a.m. followed by kids activities in the park all day Saturday. "The Groove Noodles" will hit the stage from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Sunday Funday has a lot in store with volleyball, two pitch finals, the home run derby, penny table, 50/50 draw at 5:00 p.m. and a great line up of bands. "Bed By Nine" will close off the weekend on the stage Sunday night.

Still in need of some volunteers for the weekend, if you are able to give a few hours please contact Wendy Bowles at [email protected]

There is also still time to enter a float into the parade. For more information please contact Janet Sterling at
(519) 677 5954 or Ivy Johnston at (226) 626 4086.

Gala Days is a strictly volunteer-run event and would not be possible without the help of their dedicated community members.

All money raised goes to the Port Lambton Athletic Association, which helps fund children’s extra curricular activities within our community.
