Submitted By Port Lambton Athletic Association on Wed 09 28, 22
Port Lambton Athletic Association is thrilled to announce we will be holding tryouts next week for a "U15 Girl's Softball Development Team" for the 2023 summer season!

We are looking for girls born in 2008, 2009, 2010 & 2011 to play on this team.

These tryouts will be held at MacDonald Park on Monday, October 3rd and Tuesday, October 4th (third tryout will be added if needed). at 5:30PM.

What does a "U15 Girl's Softball Development Team" look like?

- We are looking for girls who are wanting to play at a more competitive level (tournaments, higher level of LL)
- This team will play in the U15 Lambton Local League
- This team will play in approx. 4 tournaments in the 2023 summer. Two of these tournaments will likely be away tournaments and one / two local. (PLAA will pay for two of these team tournaments
- This team will hold winter indoors to get ready for the 2023 season, we encourage all of the girls on the team to attend, but also understand they have other fall / winter commitments
- You do not need to be a Port Lambton resident to tryout for this team, all are welcome.

Most importantly, we are looking to continue to develop our female athletes, encourage them to push themselves and provide them a FUN & COMPETITIVE place to play ball!

The growth of softball in Port Lambton over the last few summers is very exciting!
