Dear Sir/Madam:

We, the Port Lambton Pirates, are hosting a golf tournament at The St. Clair Parkway Golf Course on May 27, 207 to raise the funds towards the ongoing renovation and maintenance of VanDamme Park in Port Lambton. Through years of fundraising and countless volunteer hours, this park has been transformed from an unused softball field into a fully functional, beautiful hardball diamond complete with grass infield, clubhouse, scoreboard, bullpens, and numerous other updates, with many more needed.

We are asking for donations in the form of door prizes for participants or taking part in our hole sponsorship program.  If you generously choose to sponsor a hole, your $100 donation will get your company acknowledgment with a sign at one of the 18 holes on the course and verbally during the event.  All proceeds will go directly towards the park rehabilitation project.  Anything that your company can contribute to this cause would be greatly appreciated.

This annual event has once again sold out (within a few days) with 144 golfers registered as this tournament is a key event in the community and major fundraiser for the rehabilitation of VanDamme Park. The tournament is a co-ed scramble tournament with the majority of participants being aged 22-40.  I realize the many donation requests your organization must get each year, so on behalf of everyone association with the Sr. Pirates Baseball and the Port Lambton Athletic Association, I would like to thank you in advance for considering our request.
