Port Lambton U15 Pirates Capture the OBA “B” Championship
The Pirates advanced to the Championship round with Leamington and Welland to crown an OBA B champion. The Pirates had a successful weekend August 28th and 29th in Welland defeating Welland in all three games advancing to a championship series with the Leamington Lakers.

Game 1 on Thursday September 2nd at home in Port Lambton was a tough loss for the Pirates falling 7-2 to the undefeated Lakers. The boys started their uphill battle Friday night in Chatham under the lights with a convincing 10-2 win over the Lakers. Game 3 in Leamington at 3pm was a true Championship final with the winner take all situation. The talented Laker team took a 6-4 lead into the bottom of the 7th inning. However, the resilient Pirates rallied for 3 runs with two clutch hits, one to tie and the other to walk-off for the Championship.

The U15 Pirates want to thank the local communities for the support they received during their championship run. Thank you to our sponsors: UA 663, St.Clair 425, Bartech, Sombra Optimist, CF Industries.

Congratulations to the players and coaching staff for an unforgettable season!!
