The sun shone on three beautiful spring nights at Van Damme Park in Port Lambton this week. Hopeful U15 ball players stepped onto the big diamond. As players ran onto the field, dreams of grand slams, diving catches, striking out the side, line drives to the gap, and dill pickle seeds danced in their minds.

The coaches and evaluators were excited about the new season, too. Players were evaluated in the 6 categories of running, fielding, accuracy, hitting, flyballs, and pitching.
